The Vacall AllExcavate hydro excavator, designed and manufactured by Gradall Industries in New Philadelphia, Ohio, has been selected for Construction Equipment’s 2014 Top 100 New Products List.

The Top 100 awards are designed to recognize the top equipment of the year based on advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products and increasing competition in the field. The list is based on reviews and nominations by editors of Construction Equipment magazine.

“The Top 100 Products Award program was conceived to call special attention to the most significant new products announced each year,” said Rod Sutton, editorial director of Construction Equipment. “These awards serve to emphasize innovations, highlighting manufacturers who are investing in research and development. Their investments pay off for equipment users in the form of greater productivity, efficiencies and safety. They also ensure a competitive marketplace.”

“This award recognizes the ongoing commitment by Gradall Industries to continually improve and expand the collection of construction machines we manufacture for governments as well as contractors,” said Bill Petrole, vice president of Vacall products.

Since 2006, the Vacall line of hydro excavators, sewer cleaners, sweepers, catch basin cleaners and industrial vacuums has been re-designed, manufactured, sold and supported by Gradall Industries, restoring the brand’s reputation for innovate machines with industry-leading jetting and vacuum forces.

The AllExcavate hydro excavators are distinguished by their ability to efficiently loosen and remove material while uncovering underground utilities, foundations and other areas as well as handle a variety of site preparation and frac tank cleaning functions for the oil and gas exploration industry. AllExcavate models generate up to 25 gpm at pressures up to 3,000 psi – an operation that, unlike other hydro excavators, uses just one engine to power the chassis and the jetting and vacuuming action.

Among their newest features is a step-in compartment to provide operators with warmth and protection from inclement weather – an especially welcome advantage on winter-weather digging sites or oil and gas development locations. Another recent innovation is a high-lift body that raises and shifts the debris tank for more efficient dumping into roll-off containers. The machines also are distinguished by an advanced CAN bus smart control system – a standard feature that makes them easy and efficient to operate.

Construction Equipment magazine, one of the leading trade magazines of its kind in North America, will announce its Top 100 award winners in its December issue.
